In the zone

For this one I wanted to picture the feeling I have when I’m “in the zone” when I’m drawing, on my computer for hours and hours, so passionate that I forget to eat;  listening to dancehall songs and Beyoncé and getting so hyped and so happy, in my room, my onesie, with my sparkly glittery stuff and my characters, my universe, my dolls I forget absolutely everything and forget to answer texts, and I love this feeling so much ! + it’s also a weird feeling where I’m in my inner world and feel like a dork when I come back to the light and real world haha so I wanted also to make it a bit weird, to depict this. The little cat on top is an amazing sticker a friend gave me a while ago, a green cat doing fuck and wearing crocs ; and I always end up wearing only one sock I don’t know why it’s so weird haha but ALWAYS loose one. 

For the little story this drawing was just supposed to be a warmup sketch but then I got excited and had many ideas and started to add more and more stuff, too much stuff, then disliked the pose then sketched another pose and another pose then coloured it then hated it, then restarted over completely haha !! It’s never like that but sometimes  it happens that I spend hours on a drawing I’m not even pleased with at the end, and sometimes in 20 minutes I accomplish something I really love, it’s part of the process! Sometimes I’d rather stop and start over something different but for this one I wanted to have it finished although I did stop it before it gets too long And I thought it could be interesting to publish all the steps and struggle

+ The other older drawing is one I did of the same kindof moment/feeling but in 2010 I believe, when I was 17 ; It’s funny to see the differences, very big tablet difference (bamboo one to cintiq !), still horse related stuff around me, still toys, still THE SAME PINK ROBE wtf I’ve had this for 8 years what. And still drawing myself I strongly believe the key is to love yourself, to be happy with yourself and with what you have ! I feel like you’re the only person you get to be so love this person, learn your weaknesses and strengths, work on your difficulties and share your awesomness with the world, accept and don’t deny negativity but spread positivity !!
